Simulative Investigation of RFI Effect on Convergecast Routing in Wireless Sensor Network Using Omnet++ Simulator

Wireless Sensor Network is the process of spreading of data among all the sensor nodes known as broadcasting and collection of data through the sensor nodes i.e. convergecasting. Convergecasting is followed by broadcasting in every application. In WSN energy efficiency is the main concern for which, large number of efficient routing protocols have been designed. This paper simulate the effect of RFI i.e. route flood interval (time when sink node send route establishment packet to all other sensor nodes) on back-off duration. This paper represents the simulation results of convergecast routing and various issues in this routing protocol.
