An Inter Block Interference Nulling Algorithm Based on Tomlinson–Harashima Precoding for MIMO-OFDM Systems
Subscribe/Renew Journal
In MIMO-OFDM systems the Inter Block Interference(IBI) is the main issue during the signal travels from source to destination. Hence it disrupts the accurate flow of the signal when the number of receive antennas is less than that of the number of transmit antennas. To eliminate such type of interference many schemes like addition of cyclic prefix or zero padding or increase the equal number of receive antennas. In this paper the Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) procedure is proposed to null the Inter Block Interference(IBI) in the MIMO-OFDM system of transmits antennas (nt) and receive antennas (nr) with insufficient cyclic prefix(CP) . The proposed scheme can eliminate the IBI with higher bandwidth efficiency in the case receive antenna is not more than the transmit antenna (nr ≤nt). Experimental results are presented to illustrate the performance of the proposed method, demonstrating clearly superior performance of the new technique when receive antenna is not more than that of the transmit antenna.
