Single Feed Compact Triple-Band PIFA Antenna for Wireless Communication Applications

In wireless communication, PIFA is the best candidate for mobile antenna design. In this paper single feed compact PIFA for wireless communication is presented. We have used mainly two techniques to reduce physical size of the antenna. First, we inserted U slot within the antenna surface. Second, a capacitive plate is inserted between radiating surface and the ground plane [2]. By changing the gap between radiating surface and the ground plane we have got change in results. By inserting more than one slot we got different result but by doing comparative study we came to know that good result can be achieved by inserting one slot with appropriate dimensions. Triple band PIFA antenna can be achieved by these techniques. The reduced size and less height of the substrate allow design to be compatible with wireless applications. Here the simulation results match with the current market requirements. The simulation is done in HFSS Software.
