Wireless sensor network is an Emerging Technology. Sensor network is currently an active research area due to its application. For implementing “Grape health and high quality wine production monitoring System using wireless sensor network”, we used two networks, one for the vineyard and another for the wine cellar. Traditionally this is done manually, but it is not feasible for large production. The use of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) make Grapes health monitoring in vineyard more easy. The project described here aims at improving the quality of the overall winemaking process by using an innovative infrastructure based on Wireless Sensor Networks. There are several characteristics of WSNs which make them suitable for this role. Today sensors allow gathering of such “health” characteristics as the quantity of received water, the moisture in the soil and in Air, the skin texture of grapes, Temperature, Humidity, Wind Speed & Wind Direction, etc. at different sensor nodes. Many of such sensor nodes have an embedded networking functionality. This allows the deployment of a large number of sensors in sparse geographical regions and automated information gathering at competitive lower cost.
