Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a self-organizing, infrastructure-less, multi-hop network. The characteristic such as the wireless and distributed nature of MANETs poses a great challenge to system security designers. This paper describes the various challenges to the security of mobile ad-hoc network and their relevant solutions.
