Wireless ad-hoc networks have recently emerged as a premier research topic. A mobile ad-hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile hosts dynamically establishing a short lived network without the aid of any centralized administration or standard support services of a network infrastructure. In such an environment, it may be necessary for one mobile host to enlist the aid of others in forwarding a packet to its destination, due to the limited propagation range of each mobile host‟s wireless transmissions. For mobile ad hoc networks one of the fundamental problem is routing .Many routing protocols (e.g., DSDV, TORA, etc) have been proposed for MANETs. However, most assume that nodes are trustworthy and cooperative. We propose a Dynamic routing protocol based on DSDV, namely D-DSDV, in which, a well-behaved node can successfully acting as a specialized router which periodically advertises its view of interconnection topology with other mobile hosts within the network. We compare security properties and efficiency of D-DSDV with DSDV. Our efficiency analysis shows that D-DSDV generates high network overhead, however, which can be reduced by configurable parameters.
