In this paper the advanced applications of the Ultra Wide-Band (UWB) Technology have been briefly described to bring out its potential and its promising future. These include localization applications both indoor and outdoor for source localization in sensor networks where the low power transmission of UWB is most suitable. The high data rate of UWB is made use of in multimedia applications and medical applications. UWB also finds promising use in Automotive and Traffic applications.
