Study of Stigma and Discrimination among People Living With HIV/AIDS

Since the Beginning of the HIV epidemic, HIV disease has been associated with stigma, mental stress, and psychiatric morbidity. People leaving with HIV/AIDS may be forced out of homes, lose jobs, or even become victims of violence. The study was conducted to explore stigma and discrimination among people living with HIV/AIDS. The paper deals with what is Behind AIDS Discrimination and Stigma, Inter-Linkages between Stigma and Discrimination, Consequences of Stigma and Discrimination and how can attitudes to HIV/AIDS people be change. Understanding the extent of stigma and discrimination will be necessary in developing strategies to reduce them.
