Suicidal Ideation in Relation to Attitude towards Alcohol and Drug Abuse and Peer Relations among Adolescents

The present study examined the relation in suicidal ideation, attitude towards alcohol and drug abuse; and peer relations among adolescents. The sample was comprised of 400 students (200 boys and 200 girls ) in the age range of 18-23 years studying at UG and PG level in District Hisar and Jind. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Method was used to analyze the results. The findings indicated that there was significant relation in suicidal ideation and attitude towards alcohol and drug use, and peer relation among boys, however, such relations were missing among girls. The results are discussed with empirical findings.
