Risk and Protective Factors for Depression and Suicide Ideation Among Adolescents: A Review of Literature

Depression and suicide are alarming issues faced in many countries. Many factors are contributing to depression and suicidal behaviors. Suicide and depression can be preventable by the proper intervention which focused on the risk and defensive issues. The purpose of this study is to provide the different risk and caring influences of depression and suicidal behavior which is useful for parents, teachers, psychologist and the counselors for intervention and treatment.
