G. Madugula Mandalam, Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh is known for Valmiki tribe. Frequent field trips were conducted in Valmiki rich areas to collect the Traditional Botanical Knowledge and Ethno-medicinal plants used by the Valmiki tribes. Because of modernization, all the ethno-botanical knowledge is declining day by day, so there is an urgent need to document the knowledge of ethnic people. Here 30 plant species belong to 28 genus of ethno- medicinal value were recorded from G. Madugula Mandalam, Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Ethnobotanical study was carried out in the Narsipatnam division, Visakhapatnam districts of Andhra Pradesh. The present paper deals with traditional uses of 15 plant species belonging to 4 genera of Fabaceae families along with correct botanical identification, local names, parts used and mode of administration in respect to different diseases. The common diseases treated using medicinal plants are abortifacient, alopecia, Leucoderma, contraceptive, cough, Dandruff, migraine, Earache, Helminthiasis, Skin disease, Ring worm, Toothache, Whitlow, Anthelmintic, Centipede bite, Jaundice, Join pain, Eye clarity, Ring worm, Cuts, Wounds, Boil, Swellings, Purgative, Galactogauge, Backache, Heel cracks and abscess etc.,

This study presents first hand information about 64 prescriptions that were recorded during a field study of local traditional herbal practitioners and healers from villages at and around the tribal area of Khammam districts of Andhra Pradesh, India. The prescriptions discussed in this paper include various medicines prepared out of herbal plants in alleviating diseases that are suffered by tribal people of Khammam. Enumerated in this study are 64 herb species along with other ingredients used in the preparation of ethno medicine.

Ethnobotanical study was carried out in the Rayagadda districts of Odisha during 2012-2013 to document the medicinal utility of plants. The present paper deals with traditional uses of 50 plant species belonging to 41 genera and 27 families along with correct botanical identification, local names, parts used and mode of administration in respect to different diseases. The documented ethnomedicinal plants are mostly used to cure Sciatica, Bone fracture, Asthma, Rheumatism, Hiccups, Galactogauge, Jaundice, Boils, Skin disease, Centipede bite, Wounds, Snake bite, Anthelmintic, Headache, Anemia, Gonorrhea, Vigour and Vitality, Ear pain, Dysentery, Fertility, Chicken pox, Tooth decay, etc., are listed.

Ethno botanical studies were carried out to collect information on the use of Ethnomedicinal Plants by the tribal people of Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, India. Ethnomedicinal uses of 50 plant species along with local name, botanical name, family, ailments for which the drug is administrated, mode of administration are presented. They belong to 46 genera and 28 families. These plants use to cure different type of ailments. Most remedies were taken orally, accounting for 60% of medicinal use. The most widely sought after plant parts in the preparation of remedies in the areas are the ischolar_main and leaves. Tribal people have high number of medicinal plant species for the treatment of different type of diseases.
