Coordination and Controlling of DPFC by Genetic Algorithm

For the improvement of power systems various FACT devices are used but the lumped devices always face problem of higher ratings and maintenance cost hence a newly develop system is proposed called DPFC (distributed Power Flow Controller) which consists one shunt power converter and several series power converter this paper especially deals with coordination of distributed units and controlling of each unit using a centralized controller based on genetic algorithm. The paper also shows the simulation results of the proposed algorithm using MATLAB/SIMULINK.
