Computational fluid dynamics analysis for three intake manifold schemes were carried out by STAR-CCM software to obtain the velocity field, pressure field and pressure loss equilibrium. Based on the simulation results, the best scheme was chosen to verify and validate the numerical results through a runner test. The simulation and test results helped the designer to accurately find the unreasonable section of intake manifold with a view to re-design or apply minor modifications followed by re-analysis of the intake manifold which can reduce the number of experiemental tests.
