A Rare Case of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in a Young Male Masquerading as Essential Thrombocytosis
Subscribe/Renew Journal
The children and young adults constitute only a small percentage of chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) patients. We are presenting here a unique case of CML in a young male masquerading as essential thrombocytosis (ET) with non-specific signs & symptoms. The patient was later managed with newer tyrosine kinase inhibitor because of an inadequate response from imatinib. The patient is now doing well and is in regular follow up.
