Left-ventricular non-compaction (LVNC) is a rarely encountered cardiomyopathy which represents an arrest in the normal process of myocardial compaction, resulting in multiple, prominent, persistent trabeculations and deep inter-trabecular recesses communicating with the ventricular cavity. Only few cases have been reported during the pregnancy and postpartum period. In this case report we present a patient who was referred with symptoms of heart failure during pregnancy and whose echocardiographic examination revealed prominent trabeculations in the left ventricle.
