S.R. Ranganathan and Srinivasa Ramanujan

There are several mystical, occult, paranormal phenomena or happenings associated with Srinivasa Ramanujan. Some of these are briefly described in S.R. Ranganathan's biography of the mathematical genius [1]. Some are reported in the reminiscences of persons in some way associated with or remembered Ramanujan in his early days, recorded in Ranganathan's book. Two of these are quoted here. Two other extracts from Ranganathan's book were presented in earlier issues of this journal [v.l6(l); January 2010; p.l; and v.l8(3), July 2012, p.141-142]
