Happiness which is a state of mind, generated in our brain as an emotional behaviour is now attracting the extreme attention of neuroscientists and policy makers to incorporate it in the programs, policies and studies to promote this factor which is now scientifically proven as an effective tool, not merely in accomplishing our goals in life but also to live a healthy and prosperous life. The human happiness index which was initially adopted by Bhutan as a scale of human development index (HDI) is now being discussed by most of the developed and developing nations to incorporate it as a measure of development index.
