A Glimpse into Zurich Research Laboratory

In Rueschlikon in Switzerland IBM opened the doors of its Research Centres, innerlook in the workplace of four Nobel laureates.

 

In the simple white buildings high on the Zurich Lake the seat of administration could be a good insurance. Surely in Rueslikon, Saumerstraβe 4, technical developments were made during the past several decades which have changed the entire world. After ten minutes train journey south of Zurich, the first research and development laboratory is located since 1962 which the computer giant IBM opened outside the USA. Since then here research was made not only on new computer architecture, but also on the fundamentals of physics and our understanding of matter.
