Emotional Intelligence – The Growing Concern

Emotional Intelligence is the mantra to success, the new yardstick to measure the employability of present day youth. Though the topic has been kept broader, this paper mainly highlights the concern with respect to higher education. Studies have substantiated the fact that the teachers need to possess emotional intelligence to meet the needs of the 21st century learners. Emotional Intelligence has been shown to be related to individual academic achievement and effective communication.
