The teachings of Swami Vivekananda are echoes of messages in our Upanishads which talks of human values and so has a universal appeal not restricted in time and space i.e. are not confined to a century or restricted to any country or sect. They still continue to be relevant all over the world to all aspects of our life. He was a man of exceptional capability to comprehend and assimilate the philosophy and sciences, so he could foresee both the developments of physical and biological sciences. The present article is an attempt to project an integral view on education with due emphasis on spiritual values both for development of character and intuition in man-making education eliminating thereby the barrier between the sacred and secular knowledge.
