A Comparative Study of Body Weight and School Bag Weight of Six Year Old Children

A comparative study of body weight and schoolbag weight of six year old children of Elnglish medium and Bengali medium schools was done in Burdwan town. The result revealed that average bag weight carried by English medium children and Bengali medium children are 3.75 kg and 2.16 kg which is equivalent to 18% and 10.8% of their total body weight respectively.
