Disability in India from1990 to 2018 - Some Statistical Observations

History of disability is as old as the history of human. It may be congenital or acquired after birth. There is a range of causes of disability. With the development of science and health conditions of people, causes of disabilities are being identified and removed gradually. On the other hand, environmental conditions have sometimes added to the disability risk of people. In this study, changes in various disabilities in the population of India between 1990 and 2019 have been studied statistically. National Sample Survey data have been used for the study. State-wise comparisons have been made.
