In this article, the history of evolution of Statistics as a subject is discussed in brief. Discussions are made about the earliest evidences of data collection, creation of mathematical definition of probability, beginning of few important fields of the subject along with the contributions of some renowned persons in it and how the domain of the word Statistics have changed over time.
