The Invention of Bicycle and its effect on Feminism
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Volcanic eruption of Mount Tambora in Indonesia left half of the population in the island dead. The ash and the smoke that spread throughout the globe caused rapid climate change that resulted in drought, floods and lowering of global temperature for the following next 3 years. Shortage of food caused the horses to die which inspired Karl Von Drais to invent the bicycle. The invention of bicycle and its social impact especially on woman is quite important in history. Rational clothing for riding bicycle changed woman’s fashion, culture and especially its primitive societal views about woman.
