This article sketches mathematical development from Indus Valley period to Kerala School of Mathematics. One should inspire the young students for mathematical research by different writings of ancient mathematics. Young generations should be encouraged to absorb the outstanding works of Aryabhatta, Brahmagupta, Bhaskaracharya, Madhavacharya and many more.
