Studies on Lighting Design For Convention Centre With Its Allied Areas

In present world Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Exhibitions (MICE) are gradually becoming an important segment of the city life. For economic development of a country it is a playing as a tool. MICE is likely to grow further in the future. Thus our country also need more Convention and Exhibition Centres to meet up the requirement of MICE. Requirement of good lighting design is essential. This paper is based on the energy efficient lighting solution for convention centre. Case studies have been carried out for the best possible lighting scheme. The illumination levels for the different areas have been selected as per relevant Indian Standards. Lighting simulation has been carried out using software like DIALux lighting software.
