Lead (II) nitrate compound is obtained by dissolving metallic lead in aqueous nitric acid. The lead nitrate aqueous solution formed during this process undergoes to evaporation step to crystallize the lead nitrate, this is energy intensive step and this article proposes to use the salting-out process to separate the lead nitrate from aqueous solutions. Though reaction is sited in the literature, kinetics and the effect of lead particle size, nitric acid concentration was not published. This article discusses process intensification to eliminate evaporator and also the reaction mechanism.Keywords
