Performance Appraisal System is a systematic and objective way of judging the relative merit or performance of an employee's task. It is the process which helps to identify those who perform their assigned tasks well and also pinpoints those whose productivity is low.
In this research paper, an attempt has been made to examine the performance appraisal system in general with an emphasis in the university system. An analysis of performance appraisal system of various categories of Group A, B and C employees of the non-teaching staff in A.P.S. University has been done through various proforma of Annual Confidential Reports.
The study should the absence of performance evaluation on scientific basis in the University is, thus resulting in lack of initiative and creativity. Result of analysis of performance and potential appears to be average. Employees satisfaction on promotion decision and performance appraisal are poor.

The university is to play a decisive role in socio-economic transformation of the country. The Non-teaching staff helps to conceive the kind of service, the institution can render to develop and implement plan need to achieve the goals and make adjustments between plans and reality. The union of employees is containing organisation of their establishment for the protection and improvement of economic and social states of its members through collective action. In university employees union plays most vital and effective role of achieve better wages, fringe benefits, and redressing the grievances. In the present study analyse the employee's relations of A.P.S. University Rewa Madhya Pradesh. The work analysis of unions have shown that the level of satisfaction in favour of unions in group A and B is average while it is extremely poor in group C; overall university score is poor showing dissatisfaction of employees with unions. The researcher also noticed identically while interacting with the employees, and on personal observation which corroborates with inferences drawn.
