A comparative analysis on impact of Farm Pond's on Farmer's Economy in Amravati District

The present study entitled, "Impact of farm pond's on farmer's economy in Amravati district: A comparative analysis. The study was undertaken to examine the impact of farm pond's on production of major crops. For the present study, 40 beneficiary farmers having farm pond's and 40 non-beneficiary farmer's without farm pond's on their field were selected from Morshi tahsils of Amravati district. 5 villages from Morshi tahsil were selected purposively and, from each village 8 beneficiary farmers and 8 non-beneficiary farmers were selected randomly. The selected farmers were classified into three category viz., small, medium, large according to their size of land holding. The primary data was collected from the farmers by survey method and standard costs concept i.e., cost 'A', cost 'B' and cost 'C' was used for the analysis of data.
