From the President

I tried to cover the happening at AEI upto the end of last millennium in the last Volume of the Journal. Secretariship was passed onto Er. C. Haldar in 2003 and Dr. N. R. Banerjea was elected to the post of Vice President. The new Secretary, a resident of Salt Lake City, took an effective role in day-to-day activities of the Society. Already three WBSTCE courses namely Construction Supervisor O Level, Construction Supervisor A level and Diploma in Safety Engineering (now nomenclated as Diploma in Industrial Safety) had been started.
