Barges & Tugs

Barges and Tugs have an importance, to the welfare and economy of our country that does not at the moment seem to be a matter of common concern. But 'here is a growing awareness of their increasing utility in transport of food by river from large foreign vessels, which cannot enter the port of Calcutta due to their drafts being greater than the depth of the river Hooghly.
