England is the mother of industries and in many respect, we look to England for industrialisation of our country. Engineering education, in the country, was modelled on the lines of England. Even the text books, prescribed, were all British publications. In the various education commissions, set up during British Rule and afterwards, one or more Britishers were invariably associated.
