Popular Fallacies in Welding

As the head of the technical service department of his firm, Mr. Nadkarni's job was to advise customers on the correct use of welding. This involved visiting welding shops all over the country and discussing welding jobs and problems with the technical men concerned. Over the years, he has gathered experiences, some amusing and some distressing, which arose from popular fallacies regarding welding. Some of the fallacies die hard, others get removed in course of time as men gather experience or new men specialised in Welding take over. In the course of this short lecture, he dealt with a few of those fallacies, which gave rise to a lively constructive discussion.
