Special merits of T-bricks1. They require 40% to 50% less coal to burn them. 2. On account of their special arrangement of parts, heat penetrates much better and quicker inside the cores of the blocks, and therefore the burnt products are much better than the ordinary bricks. For the latter the first crack appears at a pressure of 10 to 15 tons per sq. foot and the breaking stress is about 50 to 60 tons per sq. foot, whereas the corresponding figures for the T-bricks are 35 to 40 tons per sq. foot and 70 to 80 tons per sq. foot respectively.
