The War. The war is in our minds at every moment of the day. We can do nothing without thinking of it. Every action of ours is affected by it. Our daily work, our enjoyments and even our very food is now controlled by it. That India would be affected was not unexpected. In fact, when we were suffering under the last world wide trade depression, many had actually expressed the hope that a war would arise in Europe so that India's Industries might come into demand. That war has come, and come with a vengeance.
