Vibrated Concrete
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Some conclusions regarding the effect of vibration on concrete are given in an interim report of the Research committee formed in November 1935 by the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Structural Engineers to consider the best means of investigating the effect of shaking, percussion and vibrating of concrete during deposition, with particular reference to the effect of setting and ultimate qualities of concrete. These conclusions refer at present only to the particular type of concrete used in the tests, and for the type of vibration described. They may have to be revised for larger masses of concrete, different types of concrete or other concrete mixes.
