In Memoriam

It is with great regret that we announce the death of Professor G. W. O. Howe of the Glasgow University. It is a truism that human beings are not immortal and some day we have to accept their exit from this world. It is also a truism that such occurences are commonplace. Yet, in the context of human civilisation we come in contact with men who leave a permanent stamp in our mind, by their work, bv their many virtues and mostly by their supreme understanding of humanity and when our earthly contact with such men ceases, we feel a void and an utter helplessness in the severance even though we know that such a thing must occur.
