R.C. Spun-Cast Pipes for Sanitary Sewers
Subscribe/Renew Journal
Sewer pipes arc normally designed as non-pressure pipes. From the structural point of view these need have strength to bear only the external loads, when laid underground. On the internal side sewer pipes have to withstand deteriorating action of the flowing liquids and of the gas generated therein. Glazed earthenware pipes (known as Stoneware Pipes) can resist much of these actions and are commonly used as sewer pipes, But these pipes are fragile and have low strength with very little shock resisting capacity.
