The Neoarchaean Hutti greenstonegranite terrane comprises of mesothermal gold hosting greenstone belt surrounded on all sides by granitoid rocks. The greenstone belt is made up of tholeiitic basalts, felsic volcanic rocks and sediments metamorphosed to amphibolite facies and the surrounding intrusive rocks are predominantly granodioritic in composition. The granitoid rocks show intrusive contact relationship with the greenstone belt rocks at places along the eastern and northern margins of the belt while soil cover has obscured the contact in the western margin.
