Origin of the Albite-Rimmed Plagioclases in the Granitic Rocks Near Republic, Michigan

The restricted occurrence of albite rims on plagioclases at the potash feldspar interface in the granitic rocks near Republic, Michigan strongly suggests that the albiterimmed plagioclases in the rock have formed by the growth of albite, exsolved from adjacent alkali feldspar.
