The Cretaceous carbonate deposits of Pakistan are restricted to Late Cretaceous period. These deposits are characterized by the species of Orbitoides, Lepidorbitoides, Siderolites, and Sulcoperculina. The stratigraphic importance of these species is discussed. The Late Cretaceous carbonate deposits are divided into two larger foraminiferal zones, Orbitoides tissoti zone of Campanian and Orbitoides media zone of Early Maestrichtian.
