The Mylliem granite is a normal, coarse, porphyritic biotite granite, rich in potash feldspar. Major element petrochemistry supports a magmatic origin of the granite. The difference between the grey and the pink type of the Mylliem granite is reflected in the variation in the distribution of trace elements.

Abstract

The Mylliem granite is a normal, coarse, porphyritic biotite granite, rich in potash feldspar. Major element petrochemistry supports a magmatic origin of the granite. The difference between the grey and the pink type of the Mylliem granite is reflected in the variation in the distribution of trace elements.
