Crocodilian fossil remains from the Miocene sediments of Kachchh including a well-preserved skull, mandible with few teeth intact, numerous vertebrae and a few scutes are described. This is the first record of fossil Gavialidae from the Miocene of Kachchh.

Abstract


Crocodilian fossil remains from the Miocene sediments of Kachchh including a well-preserved skull, mandible with few teeth intact, numerous vertebrae and a few scutes are described. This is the first record of fossil Gavialidae from the Miocene of Kachchh.
