Genus Anisomyon (Gastropoda) from the Cretaceous of Southern India

A new species of the patelliform gastropod genus Anisomyon is reported for the first time from the Indian Cretaceous sediments. Its occurrence, palaeoecology and stratigraphic importance are discussed. A stereopair photograph of this important fossil is given for better resolution.
