On the Mean Value Theorem
Subscribe/Renew Journal
If f(x) is continuous for all values of x in the interval
a ≤ x ≤ b,
and has derivatives of the first n orders throughout the interval, the nth mean value theorem for f(x) may be deduced by the successive application of Rolle's Theorem.
