A General Formula for the Moments of the Hypergeometrical Series

In 1924, Prof. Pearson gave a recurrence formula for the successive moments of the Hypergeometrical series about its mean and suggested the possibility of deriving a general expression for a moment of any order by determinants. In this paper we obtain such an expression which is perhaps more useful for direct numerical calculation than Prof. Romanovsky's formula.
