Abstract
Among the rare ferns of India, Pellaea calomelanos (Sw.) Link has been re-discovered from Kumaon region of central Himalaya after a gap of nearly 100 years. In the intervening years this rare fern was not collected from any other parts of Himalaya or India. A detailed note on its distribution in India, and other parts of the world along with a note on colonisation is elaborated.
