Abstract
The critical micelle concentration, degree of dissociation and dissociation constant of calcium caprylate in mixtures of varying composition of chlorofoME-propylene glycol were determined using conductometric measurements. The results show that the soap behaves as a weak electrolyte in these solutions below the CMC. The value of the specific conductance increases by the addition of dye to these soap solutions.
