Fight for (In)-Justice
The case is related to the collective bargaining. It talks about the live incidence in the big manufacturing co. Management of the co. tried to change the canteen contractor. Workers were not happy with the food provided by the new contractor. They communicated their resistance to management through welfare officer. But unfortunately they could not receive any positive response from the management. This resulted in to the dis-satisfaction among the workers. According to the Factories Act 1948, providing canteen facility to the company workers is mandatory, if the strength of the workers is more than 250. . It is to be administered by the welfare officer.
