Hawa bhi hain Jawan Jawan

Faza bhi hain Rawan Rawan

Abstract

Hawa bhi hain Jawan Jawan

Faza bhi hain Rawan Rawan

The lines from a fine poetry remind us of an environment loaded with fresh, fragrant and of course pollution free air, but where do we find it in metropolitans, especially a capital like Delhi.

On 3rd December, the Delhi High Court - after observing that the air pollution levels in the national capital had reached "alarming" proportions and it was akin to "living in a gas chamber", directed the Centre and city government to present comprehensive action plans to combat it.
